that the more fit you get the harder you have to work to maintain that level of fitness.  So here now is the problem…time.  It takes a lot of time to maintain this level.  And as you miss, skip workouts, you lose your form, then when you do get out there, you feel like shit.  When you have a crappy session because your out of shape, it demoralizes you.  Yes it does give you a bit of motivation, but realistically it makes you wonder if its worth all the hard work to get it back, when you know that given some time, you’ll be right back in this same spot.

Bottom line….as you get older, its just seems that its easier to just be a ‘normal’ guy cause realistically, no one cares if you can run, bike, whatever for whatever distance in whatever time.

Can you tell I had one of these ‘sessions’…
